1974 Cadillac Deville

This 1974 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is said to have remained with the family of the original owner until the seller’s acquisition in August 2021. Work performed under current ownership reportedly includes replacing the carburetor, vacuum lines, thermostat, ignition, battery, water pump, heater core valve, fan clutch, and alternator. The car is finished in Sable Black over red leather and powered by a 472ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15” wheels, rear fender skirts, a black cabriolet roof, a power-adjustable front bench seat, air conditioning, automatic climate control, and an AM/FM radio. This Coupe DeVille is offered at no reserve with partial service records, the manufacturer’s brochures, spare parts, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Sable Black (19) and features a black cabriolet roof, rear fender skirts, and chrome bumpers. A scratch is visible on the front fenders, and paint chips are present around the body. The headlight and hood ornament are said to have been replaced under current ownership and the antenna removed. The seller notes that areas around the tail lights show signs of paintwork and that the left taillight bulb works intermittently.

The 15” wheels wear covers with Cadillac crests and are mounted with Dimension IV All-Season whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front and drums out back.

The cabin features a power-adjustable front bench seat upholstered in Medium red leather (388) that extends to the rear bench seat. Woodgrain trim accents the steering wheel, dash, and door and side panels. Equipment includes automatic climate control, air conditioning, a power sunroof, an AM/FM radio, a rear windshield defroster, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. Service performed in 2022 reportedly included replacing dashboard lights, carpet, and the buzzer. The seller notes that the heater core has been removed, the steering wheel horn works intermittently, the sunroof requires manual assistance to close, and the dashboard air conditioning controls have been bypassed with an aftermarket switch.

A three-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 100-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 1,500 of which have been added by the seller.

The 472ci V8 was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydramatic automatic transmission. Work performed in 2022 is said to include cleaning the fuel tank and replacing the carburetor, vacuum lines, water pump, thermostat, electronic ignition, heater core valve, fan clutch, evaporator core, oil pressure switch, spark plugs, distributor, rotor, battery, alternator, fuel pump.
